The heritage interpretation trail around the Woodford Reserve recognises that both landscape settings and signage designs are as central to the interpretive experience as is the content actually being conveyed.

This is because visitors are reacting both emotionally and intuitively to a sign well before they get the chance to read its detail.

The sign units for the reseverve trail were custom designed specifically to meet the needs and requirements of this setting.

This includes the use of sandstone blocks that eliminate the need to dig footings that might impact archaeological remains.
